Phat Hoang Stupa

Phat Hoang Stupa is located on the western side of the foundation terrace. It was constructed during the Trần dynasty by Pháp Loa and serves as the place where the relics of Emperor Buddha Trần Nhân Tông are preserved.

Inside the stupa is a green stone tablet engraved with seventeen Chinese characters:
“Nam mô đệ nhất tổ Trúc Lâm Đầu Đà Tĩnh Tuệ Giác Hoàng Trần triều đệ tam Nhân Tông Hoàng đế Điều Ngự vương Phật”
(“Homage to Amitabha Buddha. This tablet venerates Điều Ngự Vương Phật – Đầu Đà Tĩnh Tuệ Giác Hoàng, the First Patriarch of the Trúc Lâm Zen sect, the third emperor of the Trần dynasty, Emperor Nhân Tông.”)
