TRIBUTE CEREMONY FOR THE HEROIC ANTI-DRUG POLICE MARTYRS AT NGOA VAN HERMITAGE

On the morning of July 26, 2025, in the tranquil and sacred space at Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda – the sanctuary of Truc Lam Buddhism, a solemn and emotional ceremony was held to pay tribute and pray for the salvation of the martyred heroes of the Drug Crime Investigation Police.

📿 Sacred meaning
The memorial ceremony took place exactly on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), an opportunity for every Vietnamese child to light a stick of incense from the heart, expressing profound gratitude to those who fell on the silent frontline, for the peace of the people and to protect the younger generation from the scourge of drugs.
🌿 UNESCO-recognized historical and cultural space
Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda is not only the most important spiritual destination in the Complex of Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son, Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscapes, but has also just been honored to be recognized by UNESCO as the 9th World Cultural Heritage of Vietnam. At the place where Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong attained Buddhahood, the memorial ceremony became even more sacred, as each chanted sutra and verse echoed through the vast forest like a prayer sent to the heroic spirits of the brave soldiers.

At the ceremony, the relatives of the martyrs, together with representatives of the pagoda and leaders of Ngoa Van Yen Tu Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company, bowed in remembrance. Amidst the rising incense smoke, teary eyes, and pressed palms, everything merged into a stream of sacred emotion – both sorrowful and proud. It was an engraving of the sacrifices of the outstanding children who devoted their entire lives to the peace of the Fatherland.
