Free round-trip cable car for visitors paying homage to the Buddha's relics at Ngoa Van Yen Tu.

Pilgrims returning to pay respects to the Relics of Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong at the Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda Special National Historical Relic Site from May 24 to May 28, 2025, will be offered free round-trip cable car tickets.

According to information from the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, the Buddha's relics - a National Treasure of India - will be enshrined at the Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace (Uong Bi City, Quang Ninh Province) from May 25 to May 28. Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace recreates the royal court space of the Tran Dynasty, built to honor Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong - the wise king who abdicated the throne to practice religion and founded the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Sect.

To welcome Buddhists and pilgrims coming to revere the Relics of Shakyamuni Buddha at the Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace and pay respects to the Relics of Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong at the Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda relic site, the Ngoa Van Cable Car Management Board is launching a free round-trip cable car ticket program for pilgrims returning to the Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda relic site from May 24 to the end of May 28, 2025.

The Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda relic complex is located high on "Bao Dai Mountain" in the west of the Yen Tu mountain range - Dong Trieu arc, now belonging to Trai Loc village, An Sinh commune, Dong Trieu city, Quang Ninh province. Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda is the sacred sanctuary of Truc Lam Buddhism - where the King, Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong, practiced religion and attained Buddhahood.

This is one of the 14 important relic sites belonging to the Tran Dynasty Relic Site in Dong Trieu, ranked as a special National historical relic by the Prime Minister in 2014. At the same time, in 2024, Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda became one of the five dossiers submitted to UNESCO for approval as a World Heritage site.
