
Visitors thrilled amidst the white-covered clouds at Ngoa Van for the first day of Spring
On the opening day of the Ngoa Van Spring Festival, thousands of tourists and locals came here and enjoyed taking photos amidst the white-covered clouds.
On February 18th, the Ngoa Van Spring Festival officially commenced at Ngoa Van Pagoda, An Sinh commune, Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province, attracting thousands of tourists and locals to admire the scenery and make their New Year's prayers.
Thousands of tourists flocked to participate in the Ngoa Van Spring Festival, revered as a sacred site of Truc Lam Buddhism.
After the festival opening, thousands of tourists began moving up to Ngoa Van pagoda. Most people opted for the cable car route instead of walking. Due to the overwhelming number of visitors, authorities had to manage and check the number of passengers boarding each cabin to avoid overcrowding. On the opening day, the high volume of tourists made the cable car area extremely crowded.

Today's cold weather has engulfed Ngoa Van pagoda in dense fog. The thick clouds have reduced visibility to mere meters.
Many tourists were delighted as it was their first experience immersing themselves in the blanket of fog covering every corner. Each group of tourists, after paying their respects, checked in to capture the rare scene amidst the fog.

Every year, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien (42 years old, from Xuan Son Ward, Dong Trieu Town) and his family choose Ngoa Van pagoda as their destination for celebrating the New Year.
"Although we waited quite long in line for the cable car, when we reached Ngoa Van pagoda, I could distinctly feel the spring atmosphere. Being here brings me a sense of peace and tranquility," Mr. Tien said.
The Nguyen Minh Tien family selects Ngoa Van pagoda as their annual New Year's destination for sightseeing.
Mr. Yan and his wife Ana, from the Netherlands, are currently on a cycling tour across multiple countries. Upon arriving in Vietnam, they chose to hike up to Ngoa Van pagoda because they found the place very unique.
After their cycling journey, Mr. Yan and his wife arrived at Ngoa Van pagoda and were pleasantly surprised to see the area covered in thick fog.
"I have traveled to many countries, but this is the first time I've seen such thick fog. It's lively here, with many people coming, which makes me and my wife very surprised. I love this place and cherish the people and scenery of Vietnam," shared Mr. Yan.

Ngoa Van pagoda is a sacred site of Truc Lam Buddhism, where King Tran Nhan Tong practiced and attained enlightenment, becoming a Buddha.
Ngoa Van pagoda is situated on the summit of Bao Dai Son Mountain, built during the Tran Dynasty (early 14th century). On the night of November 1, 1308, King Tran Nhan Tong practiced and achieved enlightenment, becoming a Buddha.
