At the beginning of the program, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Le, Director of the Training Department, delivered the opening speech. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of tree planting and forest development for the nation’s sustainable growth, while affirming the pioneering role of the People’s Public Security forces in preserving the landscape of historical relic sites and protecting biodiversity. Incense Offering Ceremony: Reverence and Gratitude to Ancestors

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the delegation solemnly performed an incense offering and Buddhist ritual at Ngoa Van Am Pagoda. Amid the lingering fragrance of incense at this sacred site associated with the spiritual practice and enlightenment of King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong, delegates, officers, and soldiers respectfully offered incense in remembrance of the merits of the ancestors. This ritual, conducted prior to field activities, not only reflected the tradition of “remembering the source of the water we drink” but also strengthened spiritual resolve, inspiring the delegation in their mission to preserve and promote heritage values.

Tree Planting Activity: Sowing Green Seeds for the Nation’s Future

Continuing the program, the delegation, along with officers and soldiers, moved to the Ngoa Van Am Pagoda area and the path leading to Ban Co Tien Peak to carry out practical tree-planting activities. Notably, Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet – Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha – directly joined Lieutenant General Tran Minh Le and other delegates in planting and nurturing new green saplings.

The image of venerable monks, the People’s Public Security forces, and coordinating units working together to care for trees amid the majestic mountains and forests of Ngoa Van has become a beautiful symbol of the harmony between Buddhism and the nation. Planting trees in the upper mountainous area contributes to improving the green, clean, and beautiful landscape of the relic site, while also profoundly educating the younger generation about environmental protection.

The event concluded in a joyful and fulfilling atmosphere, successfully achieving all set objectives. The Launching Ceremony of the “Tree Planting Festival for a Green Vietnam” 2026 organized by the Training Department of the Ministry of Public Security, together with relevant units, strongly affirmed a shared sense of responsibility toward environmental protection and a firm commitment to preserving a sustainable green future for the homeland and the country.
