On the morning of March 14, 2026, at the Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda Special National Relic Site (Quang Ninh), the Department of Training - Ministry of Public Security chaired and coordinated with relevant units to solemnly organize the launching ceremony of the "Tree Planting Festival for a Green Vietnam" 2026.

The program was implemented with the aim of deeply promoting the beautiful traditional significance initiated by President Ho Chi Minh during his lifetime, while also engraving His sacred teaching: "Spring is the Tree Planting Festival, making the country more and more like spring." The event was attended by the leaders of the Department of Training, representatives of various agencies and departments, along with numerous officers, soldiers, and youth union members.

Opening speech: Awakening responsibility and dedication

Opening the program, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Le - Director of the Department of Training delivered the opening speech for the launching ceremony. In his address, the Lieutenant General emphasized the importance of planting trees and afforestation for the sustainable development of the nation, while affirming the pioneering role of the People's Public Security force in preserving the landscape of historical relic sites and protecting biodiversity. The opening speech officially sent a message of determination from the entire force in achieving the goal of greening the Ngoa Van heritage land.

Incense offering ritual: Respectfully expressing gratitude to the roots

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the delegation solemnly performed the incense offering ritual and paid homage to the Buddha at Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda. Amidst the fragrant agarwood smoke drifting in the sanctuary associated with the spiritual journey and attainment of Buddhahood by the King - Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong, the delegates and officers and soldiers respectfully offered sticks of incense from the heart to commemorate the merits of the predecessors. The incense offering ritual before conducting fieldwork not only embodies the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" but also creates spiritual strength, adding willpower to the delegation in their journey to preserve and develop heritage values.

Tree planting activity: Sowing green sprouts for the country's future

Following the program, the delegation along with officers and soldiers moved up to the areas of Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda and the path to Ban Co Tien (Fairy Chess Board) peak to carry out the practical tree planting activity. Notably, during this activity, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet – Vice President of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, directly joined Lieutenant General Tran Minh Le and the delegates in planting and nurturing the new green sprouts.

The image of the Venerable Monks alongside the People's Public Security force and coordinating units joining hands to care for the green trees amidst the majestic space of Ngoa Van's mountains and forests has become a beautiful symbol of the connection between the Dharma and the nation. Directly planting trees in the upper mountain area contributes to enhancing a green, clean, and beautiful landscape for the relic site, while also profoundly educating the younger generation on the consciousness of protecting nature.

The event concluded in joy, fully accomplishing its set goals.
