The season of the Buddha's Birthday returns, the fragrance of lotus spreads across the human realm, and the hearts of the Buddha's children settle in profound gratitude towards the Birthday of the Compassionate Father Shakyamuni. His presence opened the path of awakening, the spirit of equality, and boundless compassion for all humanity.
Joining the boundless joy of millions of devotees worldwide celebrating the Grand Vesak Festival, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quang Ninh Province solemnly organizes the Grand Celebration of the Buddha's Birthday (Vesak), Buddhist Calendar 2570 - Solar Calendar 2026. This is a supremely auspicious affinity for the Venerable Monks and Nuns, distinguished delegates, and the entire congregation to turn towards the Patriarchal Land, together sowing wholesome seeds and praying for national peace and prosperity.
The Organizing Committee respectfully announces to the entire Sangha the information and detailed adjusted content of the Grand Celebration program as follows:
TIME AND VENUE
- Time: From 08:00, May 30, 2026 (i.e., the 14th day of the 4th lunar month, Year of the Fire Horse).
- Venue: Bamboo House at Ngoa Van Zen Village, Trai Loc Area, An Sinh Ward, Dong Trieu Town, Quang Ninh Province.
DETAILED PROGRAM CONTENT
- 08:00: Welcoming delegates, Venerable Monks and Nuns, guests, and Buddhist followers from all directions joyfully returning to the Patriarchal Land.
- 09:00: Musical and cultural performance celebrating the Buddha's Birthday.
- 09:35: Stating the purpose and introducing the delegates attending the Grand Celebration program.
- 09:55: The Sangha's official administrative rituals:
- Chanting the Buddha's name to pray for blessings.
- Performing the National Anthem and the Buddhist Anthem.
- Reading the Buddha's Birthday Message (BC. 2570) from the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
- Delivering the Grand Celebration Speech (BC. 2570) by the Most Venerable Deputy Supreme Patriarch - President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
- Speech by the Government representative.
- Chanting ritual to celebrate the Buddha's Birthday.
- The sacred Bathing of the Buddha ritual - The congregation prays in unison, using the sweet dew water to wash away worldly defilements and afflictions, reflecting upon themselves, and awakening the inherent Buddha-nature within their consciousness.
- Dedication of merit.
- 10:45: Conducting the incense offering ceremony at Ngoa Van Hermitage - Pagoda.
- 12:00: Delegates and the congregation have lunch, strengthening the Dharma bond, and concluding the Grand Celebration program.

Amidst a busy life filled with worries, the season of the Buddha's Birthday is a meaningful moment of pause for every child of the Buddha to set aside daily burdens and seek refuge under the cool shade of the Zen monastery. The Organizing Committee respectfully invites delegates and the Buddhist congregation to take some leisurely time to return to the sacred Ngoa Van peak – the cloud-covered and misty patriarchal land of Truc Lam.
